About the experience

in these somatic sessions, we explore how grief is present in your body, giving you an opportunity to share the story of your grief, honor its role in your past and present, and begin a practice of intentional grief integration.

no matter the source of your grief – losing a loved one, traumatic experience, aging, illness, concerns about the world, struggles with identity or belonging – embodiment practices create room for you to be with the full spectrum of your emotions and experience. with little to no cultural support for grief, we aim to create a resilient grief practice that will be a resource to you throughout your life.

after a family tragedy, I began a wholehearted journey with grief and PTSD, with deep work around belonging and identity, agency and acceptance. my personal experience with transformative growth in the midst of devastation informs much of this work, along with my training in embodiment practices and somatic coaching. it is an honor for me to create a warm and welcoming container for the most vulnerable explorations, for all of the feelings, and for the joy that comes with being fully and heartbreakingly human.

"Working with Jen was such a wonderful experience. Their kind nature and soft presence allowed my nervous system to feel relaxed and at home to move into the work we did together. I always appreciated how they held space for all emotions that came up for me. Additionally, Jen's ability to meet me where I was and attune to my needs was especially nourishing." (TR)

sessions are held in-person in Portland, OR or online worldwide. while developed with bodywork in mind, these can be integrated with psychedelic practice.

please note: somatic grief work is not psychotherapy. I am not a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed social worker or licensed therapist, and I do not offer therapy, psychotherapy or medical advice.
